22491VIC Certificate III in EAL (Further Study)

About the qualification

22491VIC Certificate III in EAL (Further Study) focuses on the consolidation of English speaking and listening, reading, writing and study skills to participate in a range of Australian further study contexts. Outcomes include literacy skills including digital literacy skills and cultural and critical knowledge and skills together with knowledge and skills to access further education pathways. Participants may pathway to vocational or other education or to further English language courses


  • Prospective students are must be atleast 18 years of age
  • To assist prospective students to determine whether a course is suitable and appropriate for the individual needs, Angel Institute will conduct a Pre-Training Review
  • Required to complete the Language Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment, administered by and to the satisfaction of Angel Institute


After the completion of this qualification, the student may choose to study the following courses:

  • Any VET qualification
  • VU22487 Certificate IV in EAL (Access)
  • VU22492 Certificate IV in EAL (Further Study)


Typical program duration: 6 months. Classes are held 2 days a week. Students should also allocate 4 hours per session(2 sessions/week) of self-study


22491VIC Certificate III in EAL (Further Study) is delivered either face to face (class based). Learners will be assessed through questioning, projects, case scenarios, roleplays etc.

Book Fee**: $50

*Eligibility Criteria Applies for skills first funding. Training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government Funding for eligible individuals. Please refer to the link below more information about Government Funding
**Students who wish to buy book from an outside supplier are not required to pay book fee
